Description

Froggs Farmhouse is an early 17th-century farmhouse, now derelict. It has a rendered exterior and a corrugated iron roof, with a gable on the right and a half-hipped roof on the left. The house is two storeys high and has four bays. The windows are irregularly placed, featuring two- and three-light mullion windows to the right of the entrance. A lancet window is located on the first floor to the left of the entrance, within a staircase bay. A three-light leaded casement window is found in a projecting bay to the left. A three-light ovolo-moulded mullion window is on the rear elevation’s upper left, currently obscured by ivy. The interior includes a stud and panel partition with two four-centred arch openings and a winder staircase. The farmhouse remains remarkably unaltered from its early 17th-century origins, though it was in very poor condition in January 1983.
