Description
Poole Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates from the mid to late 17th century, with later additions and alterations. It is constructed from rendered magnesian limestone with ashlar dressings and features a pantile roof. The building has a three-cell lobby-entry plan and is two storeys high, with four windows on the first floor. There are two off-centre entrances, each with four-panel doors set in quoined surrounds.
On the ground floor, the windows include 16-pane Yorkshire sashes and some 20th-century casements, along with a first-floor band. The first floor features 12-pane Yorkshire sashes and an ashlar band. The farmhouse has ridge, end, and front stacks. At the rear, the ground floor includes a four-light mullion window in a double-chamfered surround, which is topped with a hood. Other ground floor windows and the central first floor window also have hoods. The building displays ashlar kneelers and coping.
Inside, the farmhouse has beams and shutters, with 18th-century panelled rooms located in the second and third bays. It is noted to have a good staircase.
