The Methodist Church, located in Hovingham Market Square, is a building dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. It is constructed of brick and features a pantile roof. The church stands two storeys high and is open to the roof. The façade includes a blocked doorway beneath an elliptical arch, which is flanked by round-arched windows that break the first-floor band. There is also a blocked elliptical-arched window on the first floor. The roof is hipped. A 19th-century extension at the rear is not considered to be of special interest.
