Description
The Anchor, located at 35 Blakeney High Street, is a building dating from the 18th century. The north section of the building is rendered and features a steep pantile roof with a coped gable end facing the street. It stands three storeys tall, with a large modern recessed shop front on the ground floor. The first and second floors have sash windows, with the second floor featuring a round-headed window. The adjoining south section is from the early 18th century, with an early 19th-century front. This section is made of painted flint with brick dressings and has a pantile roof with coped gable ends and brick dentil eaves. It is two storeys high and consists of three bays, with sash windows that have glazing bars, although the ground floor sashes have been replaced by plate glass in the original openings. Inside, there is a stopped chamfer ceiling beam.
