Description

Souter’s Cottage is a house dating from the early 19th century. It is built of hammer-dressed limestone with a pantile roof. The house is arranged around a central hallway entrance. A four-panel door is set beneath a fanlight within a semicircular stone arch, and is flanked by sash windows; the window to the left has a concrete lintel, while that to the right has a timber lintel. The first floor has three windows; the left windows are 16-pane sashes, while the right window is a 4-pane sash. The roof has ridge stacks.
