Description

CONEYSTHORPE THE GREEN NORTH YORKSHIRE RYEDALE 5340 SE 77 SW (west side) 6/8 The Post Office and cottage adjoining to north GV II 2 houses of separate builds. Late C18 - early C19. Hammer-dressed limestone, pantile roof. Direct-entry cottages with outshut to right. Single storey with attics. To left: C20 half-glazed door flanked by 2-light Yorkshire sashes under keyed channelled lintels. To right: board door with straight joint to left and 2-light Yorkshire sash to right. Attics: gabled dormers, with casements to left cottage, and a 2-light Yorkshire sash to right cottage. Gable coping and shaped kneeler to left. End stacks, that to right rebuilt, and ridge stacks. Included for group value.
