Description

These are three houses located immediately south of Limekiln Farmhouse, dating from the late 18th century with later alterations. The buildings are constructed from limestone rubble laid in courses and topped with a pantile roof. Originally, they were three single-cell direct-entry dwellings, now converted into two homes.

The houses are single storey with attics. On the left side, there are steps leading to a boarded door, with a two-light Yorkshire sash window in a plain stone surround to the left. In the center, there is a blocked doorway beneath a channelled wedge lintel, with a casement window in a plain stone surround to the left. On the right, there is a boarded door beneath a wedge lintel, with a small fixed window beneath a wedge lintel to the left, and paired eight-pane sashes to the right in a plain stone surround.

In the attic, there are casement dormers and a skylight on the right cottage. The buildings feature gable coping, shaped kneelers, and end and ridge stacks. They are included for their group value.
