Description

Memorial Cottage and Park Cottage is a house located in Coneysthorpe, originally listed as Leo's Stores. It dates from the late 18th century and has undergone later additions and alterations. The building is constructed of hammer-dressed sandstone with ashlar dressings and features a slate roof. It has an L-shaped plan and stands two storeys high, with three windows on the first floor.

The entrances are off-centre, featuring a six-fielded-panel door with a divided overlight and 20th-century double-leaf board doors. The ground floor includes sixteen-pane sash windows and two divided plate-glass shop windows. The first floor has sixteen-pane sash windows as well. All openings, except for the shop windows, are topped with tooled wedge lintels that have keystones, while the shop windows are set beneath flat lintels. Each window has a stone sill. The left end of the building is gabled towards the street, with gable coping and shaped kneelers. There are stacks on the gables and a rear stack.
