Description
This is a house, originally a shop and dwelling, dating from around 1840, located on the north side of High Street, Yardley Gobion. The building is constructed of coursed squared limestone with a slate roof, and features brick ridge and end stacks. It has two storeys and a three-window facade arranged over a two-unit plan. The main entrance is a four-panel door situated slightly right of centre, with an overlight and a rendered segmental-arched head. To the right of the entrance is a sixteen-pane sash window with a rendered lintel. To the left is a twenty-four-pane sash window with a rendered segmental-arched head, and a further door with a similar rendered segmental-arched head, overlight, and moulded wood surround, set further to the left. The first floor has sixteen-pane sash windows with segmental-arched heads. The interior of the building has not been inspected. The building possesses group value from its contribution to the streetscape.
