Description

This is a house, dating to around 1730, with later alterations. It's constructed of roughly-laid limestone rubble with a gabled roof covered in stone slate. Brick stacks are located at the ends of the building. The house was originally planned around two rooms. It has two storeys and an attic, with a three-window front. A 20th-century door, with a plain wooden architrave and bracketed hood, is centrally placed, along with a 20th-century shop window to the right. Timber lintels cover a 20th-century window to the left, and on the first floor are early 19th-century eight-pane sash windows. There are two gabled dormers in the roof. The interior was not inspected, but is likely to have features of interest. This building possesses group value from the contribution it makes to the streetscape.
