Description

This is a two-storey house located on Church Street, Crewkerne. The front of the building dates from the early to mid-19th century, while the rear section is of late 17th-century origin. The front is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with a Ham Hill stone plinth, featuring a plain tile roof and a brick stack on the left side. The house follows a double-depth plan.

The front facade has a symmetrical appearance with one window on each floor. Both windows have flat, gauged stone arches; the ground floor window is a recessed 10/10-pane sash, and the first-floor window is an 8/8-pane sash in a forward frame. A 6-panel door, glazed at the top, is positioned on the right side, with a circa 1840 door knocker attached.

The west-facing facade has a 10/10-pane sash window above a mid to late 19th-century shop front. This shop front features cast-iron columns framing a central recessed entrance. The rear first floor is notable for a three-light window constructed from Ham Hill stone with mullions, set beneath a label mould. The interior of the property has not been inspected.
