Description

This is a mid-18th century house, later used as a shop and house. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble, with a rendered front. The roof is covered in stone slate tiles, with a stack of stone finished in brick at the right end. The house has a double-depth plan and is arranged over two storeys and an attic, with a three-window front. A four-panelled door with two glazed panels and an overlight is set beneath a keyed stone lintel on the left side. A C20 shop window with glazing bars is located to the right of the door, alongside an early to mid-19th century canted bay window with C20 glazing. A raised storey band appears above, and keyed stone lintels are set above six-pane sash windows with thick glazing bars on the first floor. Dormers are visible on the roof. The interior of the first floor was not inspected.
