Description
A pair of cottages located on High Street, Yardley Gobion, dating back to the 18th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. The cottages are constructed of coursed squared limestone with a thatched roof, and feature brick end and ridge stacks. They have a two-story, four-window facade and a two-unit plan. Number 19, on the right side, has a partially glazed panelled door, a wood lintel, and a pair of two-light casement windows to either side. Number 17, on the left, has three two-light casement windows on the ground floor and a 20th-century door to the left side. There are two-light casement windows in eyebrow dormers on the first floor. Inside Number 19, features include spine beams with run-out stops, old tile floors, and a blocked inglenook with a stop-chamfered bressumer.
