Description

A group of three cottages located on the south side of High Street, Yardley Gobion, dating from the early to mid-18th century, with alterations in the 20th century. The cottages were constructed in two phases. They are built of coursed squared limestone with a thatched roof and brick ridge stacks. The cottages are two storeys and have an attic, with a two-window front. They form an ā€œLā€ shape. The ground and first floors have two-light casement windows with wooden lintels. A straight joint marks the division between the two builds. A 20th-century door and porch are located at the rear of number 4. A rear wing to the left has irregular glazing in two- and three-light casement windows. 20th-century doors are situated on the left side of number 8, and on the right side towards the rear of number 6. The interior has not been inspected.
