Description
The White House is a house dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is built from coursed squared limestone that has been painted, and it features a slate roof with brick ridge and end stacks. The house is two stories high and has a five-window range with a four-unit plan.
To the left of the door, there is a two-story, two-window range that includes 12-pane sash windows. The ground floor windows have stone lintels and keyblocks, while the first floor windows have segmental-arched heads and a storey band. To the right, there is a lower two-story, three-window range that features a panelled door with an overlight and a wooden surround with pilasters, a plain frieze, and a dentilled cornice or hood. This section has nine-pane sash windows with flat-arched stone heads to the right of the door and wooden lintels above the first floor windows, along with a small two-light 20th-century casement window at the far right of the first floor. The interior has not been inspected.
