Description
The Cottage and the Post Office are two houses that date from the early to mid 18th century. They are constructed of squared coursed lias and feature a slate roof. Originally, each house had a two-unit plan and they are both two storeys high with an attic. Together, they create a three-window range that includes various 19th-century casements. On the left, there is a 20th-century door with a flat arch. The buildings have ashlar gable parapets and kneelers, and there is one 19th-century roof dormer. Brick and stone stacks are located at the ridge and ends. A straight joint on the left indicates that there were two separate builds. To the right, there is a 19th-century extension with a one-window range. Gable porches from the 19th century can be found on both the left and right elevations. The interiors have not been inspected.
