Description

No. 14 Barden Road is a house built in the late 18th century. It was converted into two cottages in the 19th century and altered back into a single house around 1975. The building is constructed of squared rubble with stone dressings and has a stone slate roof. It likely had a lobby-entry design originally, with the rear facing the street. The central entrance features a gabled porch added in 1975. The left-hand bay has a three-light recessed flat-faced mullioned window on each storey, while the right-hand bay has similar windows but with two-light casements from 1975. The house also features shaped kneelers, gable end coping, and gable end ridge stacks. It is included in the register for its group value.
