Description
Dale Head Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid 17th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed from squared rubble with stone dressings and features a stone slate roof. The building faces away from the street and has two storeys with three bays. There is a rubble plinth at the base. The entrance is located on the right side in a 20th-century lean-to structure. Traces of a blocked central doorway can be seen. On the left side of the ground floor, there is a 4-light double chamfered mullioned window with a hoodmould, and to the right of center, there was originally a 6-light double chamfered mullioned window, which has been reduced to a 2-light window with only the central mullion remaining, also featuring a hoodmould. The upper floor has two 3-light double chamfered mullioned windows, with cavetto mullions and casements on all windows. On the right side of the upper floor, there is a 20th-century casement window. The left gable end has a kneeler and a ridge stack, while the right side has a ridge stack at the former gable.
