Description

Eastby Hall is a farmhouse dating from the mid-17th century, with alterations made in the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries. It is constructed of squared rubble with stone dressings and has a stone slate roof. The building faces away from the street and is two storeys high with four bays.

The entrance, located to the right of the center, features an early 19th-century plain surround and a plank door. The left-hand ground floor originally had a six-light chamfered mullioned window, but now only three mullions remain. The right-hand ground floor had a four-light window, which has been reduced to a two-light chamfered mullioned window. Between the floors, there is a blind window on the left with a moulded surround. On the upper floor, there are a single light window, two three-light windows, and a four-light double chamfered mullioned window. The windows are a mix of wooden casements, fixed lights, and six-pane sashes. The gable ends feature ridge stacks.

At the rear, there is a continuous outshut on the left side. The ground floor has two two-light double chamfered mullioned windows, while the upper floor contains two smaller windows with three and two lights, respectively. To the right, an early 18th-century entrance to the garden has a roll moulded surround and a basket arched head with imitation voussoirs, along with a plank door.
