Description

The wall to the field, likely originally an orchard, dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is constructed of squared rubble with millstone grit coping and stands approximately 4 metres high, featuring a coping that steps down the slope. At the southern end, there is a plain surround to the entrance with a plank door. The wall has two approximately parallel sides, each about 50 metres long, and a third angled side of around 30 metres to the south, enclosing three sides of a quadrilateral field that covers approximately 0.25 hectares.
