Description
The wall enclosing the orchard and kitchen garden, located immediately north-west of Stringston Farmhouse, is likely from the 18th century. It is constructed of blue lias stone, primarily squared and coursed, with some areas renewed in random rubble. The wall stands about 2.5 meters high and has a pantiled coping. It is roughly rectangular in shape and features a square-headed entrance on the south side, which includes a 19th-century plank door. This wall forms a group with St. Mary's Church, as the entrance to the church runs parallel to the outer face of the wall, with the return wall marking the western boundary of the churchyard.
