Description
Dodington House is a rectory that has been converted into a dwelling. It was rebuilt between 1831 and 1838 and features red sandstone and blue lias random rubble. The building has brick relieving arches, a hipped slate roof with overhanging eaves and soffit boards, and brick stacks positioned on the right side set in from the left, rising from the eaves on the left. The structure is double-piled and consists of two storeys with three bays, featuring 2-light casements that have astragal glazing bars. The left side of the building is extended by a service wing, while the right side has a long garden front with one bay on the left and two bays on the right, both of which project forward in a picturesque asymmetrical manner.
