Description
The Boar Garden Urn and Pedestal, located approximately 30 metres south-east of the statue of the Wild Boar at Castle Howard, is a mid to late 18th century structure made of sandstone. It stands about 3 metres tall and features two steps leading up to the pedestal, which has a moulded base, panels with frosted rustication, and a moulded cornice. The urn itself is globular, adorned with festoons and topped with a floral finial. This site is noted in the Register of Parks and Gardens of special historic interest in England, specifically for Castle Howard, which is classified as Grade I.
