Description

The walled garden sundial pedestal at Castle Howard is a Grade II listed structure from the mid-18th century. It features a bronze sundial mounted on a stone pedestal, which stands approximately one metre tall. The pedestal is lobed and adorned with foliate decoration. The sundial itself is incised and includes a delicately-wrought gnomon.
