SE 34 NE SICKLINGHALL TRIP LANE. (west end) 7/69 Wood Hall

House. Early C19. Ashlar. Roof not visible. 2 storeys and attic, 7 bays. Entrance in central, projecting, apsidal bay: glazed C19 door with overlight in porch formed by 6 Doric columns which support a curved, railed balcony at first-floor level. All windows have recessed sashes with glazing bars, splayed, keyed lintels and plain stone sills. Projecting first-floor band to each side of porch. 6 Ionic pilasters above carry eaves band and moulded eaves cornice. Plain parapet. Chimney stacks grouped together along ridge- line of roof. Interior: fine cantilevered central staircase with wrought- iron balustrade. Ground-floor rooms contain fine C19 plasterwork and panelling. Lower, 2-storey range attached to left not of special interest.
