Description
Bitchfield House is an early 19th-century house constructed of ashlar stone. It features a hipped slate roof and has two ashlar wall stacks. The building is designed in a 3 by 3 block layout, with two storeys and a three-bay front. It has a plinth, a first-floor band, and a coped parapet. The central entrance consists of a half-glazed door that is accessed by four steps, framed by a wooden surround and a Doric portico. On either side of the door are single fine glazing bar sash windows. The first floor has three similar windows, with the outer ones featuring louvred shutters. All openings are topped with splayed ashlar lintels that have raised keystones.
