Description

This milestone, located in front of number 8 Langwith Mews, dates from the mid-19th century. It features an arched stone structure that is overlaid with cast iron, shaped in a triangular section and displaying lettering in relief. The top of the milestone reads "TADCASTER & OTLEY ROAD COLLINGHAM." The left face indicates distances to Harewood and Wetherby, while the right face shows distances to Otley and Boston, with specific measurements of 4 miles, 2¼ miles, 12¼ miles, 3 miles, and 7 miles to Tadcaster.
