Description

This milestone, located approximately 60 meters east of the junction with the lane to Moor Farm, dates from the mid-19th century. It features an arched stone structure that is overlaid with a cast-iron section shaped like a triangle, with letters in relief. The top of the milestone reads "TADCASTER & OTLEY ROAD EAST KESWICK." The left face indicates "WETHERBY HAREWOOD," while the right face displays distances: "3¼ MILES" to Boston, "3 MILES" to Otley, and "4 MILES" to Tadcaster, along with "11¼ MILES" to Tadcaster.
