Description
Stockeld Lodge Farm is a house dating from the mid to late 18th century, constructed of coursed gritstone with a Westmorland slate roof. The building has three storeys and three bays. At the center, there are 20th-century glazed double doors set within a rusticated surround that features a large keystone and a flat moulded entablature. All windows have architraves with keystones, and the first-floor central window has a Gibbs surround. The right window on the ground floor has been lowered to create a French window, while the remaining ground and first-floor windows are 16-pane sashes. The second floor includes 20th-century windows on the left and center, and a 4-pane sash on the right. The house has a banded eaves cornice and ashlar coping with cavetto-moulded kneelers, along with corniced stacks at each end. Attached to the left is a single-storey lean-to service block, which features a 2-light flat-faced mullioned window with 4-pane casements and a tall stack to the left.
