Description
The stables and office at Stockeld Park, built in the late 19th century for Robert John Foster, are now used as an office and originally served as a laundry block. The building is constructed from ashlar stone and features a Westmorland slate roof. It is a single-storey structure with five bays on each side of the chapel, and it includes long ranges that enclose a courtyard on the north side of the chapel. The design includes pilasters and round-arched windows with glazing bars, as well as lunette windows in between. The original looseboxes, tack room, and stalls are still in use today.
