Description

1 and 2 Park Parade, together with 50 North Park Road, are a pair of semi-detached houses dating from the mid-19th century. They are two storeys high with a basement and dormers. Each house has two windows, with linked, one-window, recessed entrance bays. The roofs are slated and hipped. The houses are constructed of grit stone ashlar with an eaves cornice. They feature architraved sash windows; the outer bays have first-floor cornices and ground-floor splayed bay windows. The first-floor windows of the entrance bays have segmental arches and balustraded balconies. The entrances have pilasters supporting an entablature, fanlights and panelled doors, accessed by steps. The buildings form a group with the Cedar Court Hotel.
