Description

9 Park Parade is a building dating from the 19th century. It is three storeys high with a basement and dormers, and has a slated roof with bracketed eaves and fronted by modified consoles. The exterior is constructed of grit stone ashlar with sill bands. It features pedimented dormers and recessed sash windows. The entrance bay is flanked by splayed bays with pilaster mullions, and a cornice rising through the ground and first floors. An elaborate cast iron porch, approached by steps with cast iron railings, provides access. The building is included in the register for its group value alongside numbers 8 to 13 and 15 to 20.
