Description
10 Park Parade is a later 19th-century villa that stands three storeys tall with a basement. The building is double fronted and features seven windows. It has a hipped slated roof with eaves cornices supported by console brackets. The exterior is made of painted grit stone ashlar, with block quoins and a rusticated ground floor that includes vermiculated bands. There is a string course at the second floor level. The second-floor windows are recessed sash windows with architraves, while the first-floor windows are flanked by pilasters with arched heads and fans in the tympani. The ground floor windows have console-bracketed sills. A dentil cornice at the first floor level is complemented by blind, balustraded balconies at the windows. The entrance is architraved and features a console-bracketed hood and a pulvinated frieze, along with a fanlight and a raised and fielded panel door that is accessed by steps. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 8 to 13 and Nos 15 to 20.
