Description
6-8 Cromwell Road is a later 19th century, two-storey, three-bay villa featuring classical detailing. The building is constructed of ashlar stone, with rubble on the sides, and includes a base course and cornice. The window openings are adorned with architraves and cill blocks.
The southwest elevation, which serves as the entrance, has a central doorpiece with a consoled cornice, a timber door, and a three-light fanlight above. There is a single window directly above the entrance on the first floor, with regular fenestration in the flanking bays. The entrance to No 8 is located on the outer left, also featuring a timber door.
The ground floor has plate glass timber sash and case windows, while the first floor has modern windows. The roof is covered with grey slate and features stone skews, pedimented skew-putts with a flower roundel motif, and coped and corniced gablehead stacks with circular cans.
The interior was not seen in 1998.
