Description
This is a later 19th century, two-storey, three-bay villa located at 8 Miller Road in Ayr. The building is constructed of ashlar and features a base course, eaves course, and cornice.
On the south elevation, which serves as the entrance, there is a central doorpiece supported by consoles, with a rosette in the frieze and a modillion cornice above. The timber door has a letterbox fanlight, and there is a single round-arched window directly above it on the first floor. To the left, there are tripartite windows on both floors in a slightly advanced bay. To the right, the canted bay has regular fenestration on both floors.
The villa has plate glass timber sash and case windows, a grey slate roof, and corniced gablehead stacks with circular and polygonal cans. The interior was not seen in 1998.
