Description

An early 19th-century pair of buildings, 18 and 19 Park Parade. The buildings are three storeys high with basements and dormers, each featuring two windows. They have a slated roof and are constructed of grit stone ashlar, with a rusticated ground floor. A cornice and blocking course run along the top of the facade, and there is a plain band marking the second floor. The windows are recessed sash windows with glazing bars, with segmental bowed windows on the ground floor. The doorways are round-arched, each with a fanlight (the fanlight at number 19 is radial) and panelled doors. Steps lead to the doorways, flanked by wrought iron railings. A continuous cast iron balcony runs along the first floor. Cast iron railings with urn finials complete the facade. Numbers 8 to 13 and numbers 15 to 20 Park Parade form a group.
