Description
Earlier 19th century. 2 storeys over basement, 3-bay symmetrical villa with low 2-bay wings. Painted ashlar and dressings. Central door with fanlight and pilastered doorpiece at head of flight of steps with decorative cast- iron handrail; bowed outer bays with basement lights below continuous band course. 4-pane sash windows in moulded architraves throughout, those to ground floor corniced.
Eaves course and broad dentilled cornice. End stacks and piended slate roof. Flanking recessed wings over rubble basment, outer pedimented bays slightly advanced, with segmental-headed windows. Squat square- plan inner gatepiers are on plinth and have scrolled gabled caps with blank crests. Curved low retaining wall. Outer gatepiers have corniced caps.
