Description
19 and 21 Windmill Road is an early 19th century two-storey classic villa featuring a three-bay ashlar front, which is painted at the ground floor. The outer bays are slightly advanced and have aproned ground floor windows set in shallow square-headed recesses. The entrance includes a door-piece with pedimental blocking courses and a cavetto splay. There is a cill band at the first floor, along with a main cornice and blocking course. The original glazing is present only at the ground floor. The flanks are constructed of plain coursed rubble with ashlar dressings. The northeast elevation has two windows and a door framed by a painted corniced architrave. The building has a truncated centre stack and a rear elevation with three windows featuring original glazing and a central canted dormer. The roof is piended and slated. Additionally, there is a dwarf coursed garden wall with corniced painted ashlar gatepiers.
