Description
This building at 10 Windmill Road in Hamilton dates from around 1860 and features Tudor-style elements. It is a two-storey, asymmetrical villa constructed with stugged coursers, complemented by stugged ashlar dressings and polished margins around the openings. The front has two bays, with an advanced gable on the right and the entrance door on the left. The ground floor openings are corniced and linked by aprons to hood-moulded windows on the first floor. To the right, there is a single-storey, one-window gable-fronted wing. The building has rubble flanks, delicately bracketed ogee cast iron rainwater goods, and a bracketed gable with barge boarding, which likely originally resembled the gable at number 12. The roof is piended and slated, featuring a truncated stack on the left.
