Description

This is a row of ten mid-19th century houses, originally known as Park Terrace, located on Wellington Road. The houses are grouped symmetrically, with the end properties being three storeys high while the others are two. They are constructed of yellow brick with slate roofs, the end properties having hipped roofs. Projecting eaves are supported by wooden brackets. The windows are arranged in a pattern of 2-8-2, with the second-floor windows of the end properties having cambered heads. They are mostly sash windows with wide glazing bars, with French windows on the ground floor. Some windows have decorative hoods for blinds. The doorways are deeply recessed under segmental arches. The buildings are listed as a terrace and form a group with the listed buildings in Park Street, excluding St Paul’s House.
