Description
Wellington Terrace is a three-storey-plus-basement terrace dating from approximately 1830 to 1840. Located on Wellington Road, the terrace includes numbers 36 to 42 (even). Two gables with pediments project forward on the left and right sides, with the central section also slightly advanced. The roof is slate-covered, with a moulded cornice. The front of the terrace exhibits pilasters and round-headed panel detailing. The window arrangement is 2-1-2-1-2 windows across the front. The windows are sash windows, with glazing bars present only in number 42. Doric porches and splayed bays are located on the ground floor of numbers 32 and 40, centrally situated. A two-storey extension is present to the left, featuring two windows set within round arched surrounds and a glazed Tuscan porch. The buildings form a good group.
