Description

LOWER HOLKER B5278 SD 37 NE (East side) Holker 5/122 Farmbuilding to the north of Shorthorn Farmhouse (q.v.) G.V. II Farmbuildings. Dated 1861. Stone rubble with quoins and slate roofs. Barn has lean-to outshut to south and low range to north, with return range to east. Decorative bargeboards. Barn has west gable end with ball finial. Outshut has bargeboards to west end. South elevation of 3 bays, the central bay breaking forward under gable with pierced datestone, window with label mould to lintel; small-paned glazing to windows. North and east ranges are plainer, east range with small lights under eaves. Included for group value.
