Description
The farmbuilding located to the north of Shorthorn Farmhouse, dated 1861, is constructed from stone rubble with quoins and features slate roofs. The barn includes a lean-to outshut to the south and a low range to the north, with a return range to the east. It is adorned with decorative bargeboards, and the west gable end of the barn is topped with a ball finial. The south elevation consists of three bays, with the central bay projecting forward under a gable that has a pierced datestone and a window featuring a label mould above the lintel; the windows have small-paned glazing. The north and east ranges are simpler in design, with the east range having small lights positioned under the eaves. This building is included for its group value with the farmhouse.
