Description

The farm buildings located to the north of Bonas Hill Farmhouse date from the late 18th century, with some modifications made in the early 19th century. The structures are primarily built of squared stone, except for the southern part of the west range, which is constructed of rubble, featuring cut quoins and dressings. The north part of the west range and the two-storey section of the north range have stone slate roofs, while the east range is covered with Welsh slates. The roofs of other areas are made of 20th-century metal sheets, except for the pigsty, which has pantiles. The buildings are arranged around a foldyard that is open to the south.

The north range consists of two sections: the left part is two-storey and features three segmental arches with small loft windows above. There is an old brick external stair leading to a boarded loft door framed in an alternating-block surround, along with a boarded door in a chamfered surround to the left. The shelter shed on the right has four segmental arches. The east range includes four boarded doors, slit vents, and a projecting pigsty with a reverse-stepped gable. There is a small brick ridge stack from a former cottage at the right end, along with a boarded door on the right return. The barn range on the west side has two stable doors and a boarded door, with coped gables resting on deep footstones. The rear elevation of the east range displays boarded doors in chamfered surrounds, slit vents, two part-slatted windows, and an eight-pane Yorkshire sash window in the cottage loft. The rear elevation of the barn shows an opening for the drive shaft of a former gingang, situated above a blocked door.
