Description
Keeper's Cottage and the outbuildings behind it date back to 1640, with the initials M.R. found on a re-set stone near the rear entrance. The cottage features red sandstone rubble walls and a Welsh slate roof, along with stone chimney stacks. It is two stories high and has four bays. The entrance includes a plank door with a plain stone surround. The windows are sash style with glazing bars and plain stone surrounds, while the original window to the left has a chamfered surround and is mullioned. Inside, the ground floor has beamed ceilings and oak plank doors. The former byres and outbuildings at the rear are one and two stories tall, constructed with similar stonework and sandstone slate roofs. These outbuildings feature half plank doors and external stone steps leading to a side loft door, as well as an arched cart entrance to the right.
