Description
Keeper's Cottage is a house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of squared sandstone, which is colour-washed on the left side, and features herringbone-tooled quoins. The cottage has a timber porch and a pantile roof, with rebuilt brick stacks. The layout consists of a two-cell, direct-entry plan with a rear service wing and an added outshut.
The building has two low storeys and a two-window front. The central door has six recessed panels and is set within a part-glazed pent porch. This door is flanked by two-light, large-pane horizontal sliding sash windows with painted stone sills. There are two similar windows on the first floor. The ground floor openings are topped with heavy painted tooled lintels. The cottage also features a stepped eaves course, coped gables, and shaped kneelers, along with end stacks.
