Description
The Old Vicarage is a house dating from the late 18th century, with a later extension. It is constructed of hammer-dressed sandstone, featuring painted raised and chamfered quoins on the front, while the sides and rear are made of coursed rubble. The roof is covered with pantiles and has brick stacks. The building has a central stairhall plan and is one and a half rooms deep, with a small rear service wing added. It has a symmetrical two-storey front with three windows. The central door consists of six raised and fielded panels with fluted borders and a divided overlight above. There are 16-pane sash windows with painted stone sills on either side of the door, and three similar windows on the first floor. All openings have raised keyblock lintels, and there is a cavetto moulded eaves course. The building features end stacks.
