Description

THORNTON DALE MALTONGATE SE 8382 (west side) 15/140 The Old Vicarage GV II House. Late C18 with later extension. Hammer-dressed sandstone with painted raised and chamfered quoins to front; coursed rubble to sides and rear. Pantile roof with brick stacks. Central stairhall plan,1½ rooms deep with small rear service wing added. 2-storey, symmetrical 3-window front. Centre door of 6 raised and fielded panels with fluted borders and divided overlight. 16-pane sashes with painted stone sills to left and right and 3 similar windows to first floor. Raised keyblock lintels to all openings. Cavetto moulded eaves course. End stacks.
