Description
The Hearse House and stables, located to the northeast of the Church of St Michael, were built in 1896, likely incorporating an earlier coach house and stable that were constructed for the Horricks family. The building is made of coursed red sandstone and features large flush quoins, topped with a red sandstone slate roof. It is a single-storey structure with four bays. The central entrance consists of large plank doors, flanked by smaller doorways that also have similar large plank doors on the right. This building is listed partly for its group value with the nearby church.
