Milestone. Probably early C19. Sandstone. Upright stone with deep, hollow chamfers to front on semi-circular base with DALTON inscribed on it. Cast-iron plaques screwed to chamfers state: BURTON on South and LANCASTER on North MARKET CROSS TOWN HALL ½ x MILE MILES
