Description

73 Warwick Road is a house that has been converted into a surgery, and it is part of a terrace built in the late 1830s. The building features Flemish bond brickwork set on a chamfered plinth, with all dressings made of painted stone and an eaves cornice. It has a graduated greenslate roof and original brick chimney stacks. The house is two storeys high and consists of three bays. The central entrance has a panelled door framed by an in antis surround, topped with an overall patterned fanlight within brick reveals. To the right is a squared bay window, while the other windows are sashes set in stone architraves. The interior has not been inspected. This house is part of a terrace known as Cavendish Place, which is listed in the 1837 Carlisle Directory, and it appears on the 1842 Studholme map of Carlisle.
