Description
24 and 26 Chiswick Street are two houses that form the end of a terrace, built in the late 1860s or early 1870s. They feature Flemish bond brickwork with light headers, set on a chamfered plinth, and all dressings are made of calciferous sandstone, some of which are partly painted. The houses have V-jointed quoins at the angle of No. 26 and stone-bracketed metal gutters. The roof is covered with common Welsh slate and includes skylights, along with original ridge brick chimney stacks. Each house is two storeys high with two bays and has a double-depth plan. Both houses have a right panelled door with an overlight, framed by a pilastered surround and accessed by steps. The windows are sash style, set within stone architraves. The interiors have not been inspected.
